Michael Quirk, Reporter
A native of Johns Creek, Ga. Michael Quirk covers a variety of topics for the Journal Scene, Berkeley Independent and The Gazette. He is a recent graduate of the University of Mississippi, the flagship university, with a degree in journalism and emphases in print and public relations. When he is not at work he enjoys playing recreation and pickup sports, watching sports on TV and buying new bones for his dogs: Deacon, a treeing walker coonhound, and Max, a Bernese Mountain Dog and Great Pyrenees mix. He has lived in the South his entire life (with no plans to ever leave) and loves a good book by Oxford, Mississippi's own William Faulkner and John Grisham. He has yet to write an article that hasn't been read by his loving parents Marilyn and Bill.
