The newest Dorchester Habitat for Humanity house was dedicated to its new owners, Nicole Parker and her children, on Sept. 28. Volunteers from across the community, including the new homeowner, have been working on the 2013 Hammers and Heels Women Build house since May.
Around 50 people gathered on Miken Lane Saturday morning for the dedication ceremony of the Dorchester Habitat for Humanity 2013 Women Build home. After several remarks from donors and volunteers and a ribbon cutting, the crowd held hands and encircled the house. The new homeowner, Nicole Parker (left), joins in the community prayer with two of her children.
